  • It's been one of those weeks. I blame it on the weekend I had: it was pretty much perfect. Sunday was the perfect combination of lounging and productivity. I cleaned and unpacked and decorated and baked and cleared the flower beds. Monday I slept in, took my time getting ready, then had an afternoon of fun Candala time. It was only inevitable that I'd have a crappy week to follow it up with.

But enough complaining. There's got to be something fun about today I can share....

I had my monthly checkup this morning. The doctor walked in and noticed I was on my iPhone. He started asking me about it, and how I liked it, and how it compared to the PC based similar phones and whether I used a Mac or a PC at home and whether it made a difference....all this while he measured me and checked the baby's heartbeat. Then he was all...oh, so how have you been feeling? I suppose we should talk about the baby at some point. Good call. He asked if I had a name for him picked out, and I shared my frustration that no, I still don't and I don't think I ever will. He's a firm believer that you have to see the baby before you name him anyways, and said that Armando would be perfectly acceptable until then. I like my doctor.

Well, thats about all I got for tonight. Sorry if it was a lame update, but sometimes lame is better than nothing.

So after having had been at work for approximately 9 hours yesterday, I think Amber & I began to get a little loopy.

Me: My stupid armpit is itching again like crazy! Remember when it did it last week too?!?

Amber: Yes! Oh no! Maybe you have armpit cancer!

Me: Oh, like that's funny to joke about!*

Amber: No, this could be good, just think, they could amputate it, and you'd never have to shave again!!!

*Okay, I admit it, ever since I got pregnant my life philosophy towards sickness of 'eh, it'll go away on it's own' has turned into 'oh no, I'm diseeeeeaaaased!!!!' I'm trying to work through this, give me some time. Until then, I may have to block WebMD from my computer.

image2038368909.jpgWell, folks. I would like to introduce you to the newest development in my life, lil Finny the fetus. The male gendered name is purely because I like the sound of it, doesn't reflect on the actual sex (which is unknown for the time being). I am officially 15 weeks along tomorrow, into my second trimester. No, he wasn't planned for, and yes I have had my freak out moments (and many more are to come, I'm sure). For now I'm getting used to 1)The idea that there is a Human Life Form growing INSIDE of me 2)The concept of all summer without a Tecate (that part hasn't been all that hard actually) and 3)The knowledge that my life is going to change here very soon, change with a capital C.

I've had a pretty smooth time so far, very little naseua, just lots of time daydreaming about taking long naps. It's kindof like my freshman year of college in that way.

This next month is going to be pretty crazy busy, with 2 weddings and the packing up of all my personal belongings (didn't I JUST do this?) and the complete renovation of the adorable little 2 bedroom house I lived in as a child that my parents are so graciously renting to me at a bargain price. But for now, I'm off to put in about 10 hours at the store & get ready for some fun 4th of July festivities. Happy weekend!

  • and we're back in business!

So I plan on updating more very soon (I know I say that a lot, but I might actually mean it this time). I have some very interesting/crazy/scary/exciting things going on right now in my life and Im thinking I'd like it chronicled somewhere! So stay tuned, and don't worry about that last entry, it was from March and had been sitting in my phone.

image1953765188.jpgHello, there Internet. Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. I've been really busy the last week. Moving into my new apartment (come & visit! We'll open a bottle of wine and catch up!). Meeting some very interesting, totally awesome new friends. And now I'm baking ahead for the week, wearing an apron, and soaking up some gilmore girls. Good talk. More to come soon. For tonight, I'm a happy girl :)
